Another update: Plain text authentification via POP3 is now denied, either use POP3S or another method (CRAM-MD5 is fine) if you still are not using IMAP
POP before SMTP will not work now, please use SMTPS (port 465) with authentification.
Disabled stuff is ancient and deprecated for quite some time already but was kept for compat issues.
